Use of AI

Comic Vault uses AI for a small number of specific jobs, nearly all of them about saving you typing. Every one is listed, with what gets sent and who processes it.

Your name and email are never sent

Prompts carry book details and aggregate facts about a collection, not who owns it.

Two companies process it

Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT). Both are used; OpenAI handles more of it than Claude does.

Most of it waits for you to ask

Cover scanning, credit lookups, descriptions and recommendations all start with something you do. Saving a book also sends its details to be read for themes, which is what makes recommendations work.

AI never decides what a book is worth

Values come from your grade, signatures and condition against pricing rules, with no model involved.
