Norrin Radd was a young astronomer from the planet Zenn-La who became the Silver Surfer after sacrificing his freedom to save his home from Galactus. As Galactus's herald, he traveled the universe seeking planets for his master to consume. Eventually, he rebelled against Galactus and became a hero, often assisting the Fantastic Four and other cosmic beings in their battles against evil.
